The Long and Winding Road

| It's Friday! Fridays are a joy. Oh boy oh boy. I may be shagged, my eyes may be bloodshot, but hey, at least the West will be out of my sight for a while. So for a change, I shall not be too whiny today. I realise the instructors are pretty nice (old) people who are actually more fatherly and approachable than authoritative. Most of them anyway. That makes the environment rather relaxed. So that's good. We fell out at about half past three today. Hopefully there will be more of such early releases coming. So that's good too. While the journey to/from home is often a long and ardous one, I take condolence in the fact that there are many - up to about 6 - public transport routes I can choose from. They are not merely different bus services plying the same route but, really, an assorted range of permutations and combinations. So maybe that's also good. With so many things to rejoice about, I don't exactly know why I'm still feeling so down. Maybe it's the distance, the time wastage, the uniform and the unnecessary superfluous knowledge which I would rather do without. It's what that's also keeping me in a dilemma. Should I go or should I stay? Or rather, can I go? Sigh. |
